For me the RSS feeds are definitely very convenient. Why would one want to search for each site that they preview often, when they can be found in one place, updated, ready to read and access. I would think it would also be very handy for one writing a book (non-fiction, that is).
When I went to Technorati under "Library", there were only about a half million places one could go to and thousands of blogs-went to a few, but didn't find anything that great-(Bein' that I only work 4 hours a day, it's difficult to spend too much time searching).

RSS feeds have been essential to my being able to keep up with everyone's blogs for this program. It's so convenient to see what everyone has to say--all in one place!
